I cannot talk about this...

So I cannot believe this.. Bekah is graduating to big school. She starts Kindergarten next August - she is going to Christ Covenant and we are very excited. At her school now (Cobblestone) - they have graduation. Here is her sweet photo! Is she not the cutest?? I debated on whether or not to get the photo of her in her cap and gown or in the one in her regular clothes. I am pleased with my decision!! Now below is Nate's class. Because Nate REFUSED to take a photo by himself. I could only buy the group shot! Aren't those babies darling??? Look at the Juice and Haley!!

Monday night

On Monday night - Crissie, Winston and Chris stayed with us. They were driving from Nashville to Houston so they made a stop in Jackson. We called Steve to meet us at Amerigo. Steve and Crissie were big buddies when she lived here. It also happened to be Steve's birthday! It was a fun time but the kids were a little wild. Bekah insisted on driving to the restaurant with Crissie. When she got there - she had all this make-up on! It was funny! But I didn't get any photos of Chris - oh well!

Bekah was sad to leave her new best friend

Bekah and Anna became best buddies before the trip ended. This was her last moment with Anna right before we left. Bekah DID NOT want to go because she was helping Anna make blueberry muffins. We had to seriously carry her to the car!!

Now we can just relax...

After the marathon - which by the way, Allison and James, Anna and Davis were all there at the finish line too!! Wasn't that sweet. Allison says she wants me to make this an annual tradition and that maybe she will do a half next year. WOOHOO! We all relaxed that night - well, Trey and I did. Allison is OCD and James is ADHD - so we had a fun time watching them. It was so funny - James would start something and Allison would finish it. It was great! Allison was going to take Bekah on a four wheel ride.. It wasn't working so the girls rode the jeep instead. Also - another funny story - Allison always comes in town without James. She just likes to spend time with her friends or he is out of town.. anyway, we always laugh b/c Trey always says, "Does James even exist." Well, he got his proof this weekend!! We really had a blast.. thanks Allison and James!!

The Wii

This is funny... So Trey has never played on a Wii before. Allison and James showed him how and they had tennis. Well, you know what a big tennis freak Trey is.. so he played that game all day (well after the marathon). The next day he was soooooo sore. As a matter of fact - he was complaining more than I was! Imagine that??? HAHAHA! Don't worry - we do not think we are going to get one.. since we both know what would happen if we did.

After the marathon...

The best part of the marathon - Trey and the kids were there! They were waiting for me at the finish line!! I saw my sweet babies and I was so happy! They had a great time. We all stayed after the marathon and spent time with Crissie, Winston and his friend - Chris. And of course her parents. They all finished the marathon!! YAY!!

GO TEAM

These photos were taken at 5 a.m. It was raining pretty hard outside so we were all a little concerned. Luckily it stopped by 7 a.m. These are my teammates from the Ms chapter! Go Team. I'm so proud of everybody!! I ran with Allison Agent the first 20 miles of the marathon. I know my time wouldn't have been near as good if I hadn't have tagged along with her! She was great. She is the one with the nike visor on. I also took a photo of her and her sister. She had a lot of family with her and they all wore these yellow shirts that her husband had made - See Ali Run.. 26.2! Isnt that the cutest? We saw them several times a long the way. That was fun. The marathon was very interesting.. Allison and I were together right before the race and we both thought it would be a good idea to go to the bathroom before the marathon started. So we stood in line at a port-a-poty for almost an hour.. not kidding - well, when it was 10 til 7 a.m. - and we still had about 20 people ahead of us - we were like we can't wait. We made our way over to corral 12 and we were both really had to go to the bathroom. As soon as we started running, we knew we were in trouble. We were passing all these restaurants and I said, "Let's just go to the bathroom in one of these fast food places." So 5 minutes in to the marathon, we ran into the bathroom of a fast food breakfast place - can't remember the name - did our business and ran on! Brilliant! We talked about what a good idea that was for at least 4 miles. Anyway, we ran together and had a pretty good run. It was at mile 20, I just couldn't keep up Allison's pace. I was pretty disappointed but my brother again helped me out. He was right there with me again. He encouraged me to just run at my own pace. I did and he met up with me about 25 1/2 and he ran with me. It was awesome - again it is just an amazing experience. I pinned all those names on my shirt again. They really are my inspiration. I had Renee's uncle's name pinned on the front of my shirt - Ray Armstrong. It was again an emotional experience. Every marathon I run is a different experience though - it's amazing how that happens. I do have to say that this time - I had no blisters!! I was so excited. I think it's because my brother and Wesley were like put body glide on your feet.. I did and it worked!! I'm really sore today but not too bad. I'm ready to run another one. Mom is going to experience the next one with me. We are headed to San Diego May 30. Sad news though - I'm not going to have my brother to cheer me on! What am I going to do???? I'm still very excited though!

Cheerleaders

This is what is so awesome about Team in Training. When you walk in to go to the pasta party, you have your coaches and the TNT staff from all over just cheering you on. These are the ones from Jackson - I'm sure you will see some familar faces.

We met up with Crissie and her gang

My friend, Crissie, came to Nashville with her Team in Training folks in Houston. I was so excited she decided to do Team in Training! I'm very proud of her! We met up at the Pasta party. Her husband, his friend, and her parents all came in town to participate in the activities. Everybody ran the marathon except her parents. But her parents were there to cheer her on and I even stole a few cheers from them along the route too! That's always exciting to see people you know during the race! This is right before the pasta party.

Nate dances at the Hard Rock!

Here is Nate again with that arm swinging.. that is his dance! It's so cute. Don't worry - when he falls at the end - he didn't get hurt! I promise. What a sweet boy!

Nate dances!

Bekah and Anna are dancing in the background - you can barely see them. But Nate is getting it! Look at him go.

Hard Rock

We had some time to kill so we all headed down Broadway to the Hard Rock cafe. We ate nachos and dessert. Yummy. The kids danced and danced. Thank goodness there were not a whole lot of people eating - we would have been quite disturbing to them! Oh well!

The Expo

Allison was kind enough to guide us to downtown Nashville where I needed to pick up my packet for the marathon. We took all the kids and met my brother there. I do not recommend you take kids to an Expo - not a good idea. But I managed to spend some money anyway!

Nashville

So Thursday after work we traveled six hours to Nashville or Brentwood - that is where we stayed with my sweet friend Allison Dowland! We usually travel at night because Bekah gets car sick during the day. Allison and James were so sweet to let us stay with them - they were great hosts! And Bekah had the time of her life. They have Anna and Davis... Anna is a month younger than Bekah and Davis turned a year this month. Bekah and Anna got a long great. She didn't know Anna for more than 5 minutes before they were up in her room finding what they could get into. All of a sudden - they walked outside with Anna's bathing suits on.. It was funny. Good times!
