Look at these cuties!

Look at these cutie pies! This was taken at ballet last night. Notice we are missing one though - Miriam decided she did not like ballet!! :( Abby, Bekah and Madeleine met a new friend in class. Isn't she cute? She is the first one on the left. The moms have to sit for an hour and wait for the girls. We've gotten to know some of the other mommies in the "waiting" room! We love Mississippi Metropolitan Dance Academy. It's located in Madison and it's a lot of fun!!

I'm IT!!

I have been tagged by Lisa to answer the following questions.

1. What were you doing 10 years ago?
September 1997 ... Actually I had just graduated Baylor University that May and had moved back to Jackson that July. I had taken a job at the Northside Sun as a reporter in August of that year. All I did was drink, drink, drink and go out, out, out. I was partying and drinking all of the time and I was absolutely miserable. I needed help. I had to make a change. Renee - I know u remember. It was just a month later when I got sober. I haven't had a drink in almost 10 years - Nov. 9 will be my 10-year sobriety birthday. Wow. I can't believe it's been that long. Thank-you God for giving me a second chance!

2. What were you doing 5 years ago?
September 2002 ...I was trying to convince Trey that we needed to have a baby. We had just moved in to our new home on South Park Drive. We also had just lost our dear friend, Bo Reed, to the terrible disease of alcoholism. I'll never forget his death - it was one of the saddest experiences of our lives. But it was his death that prompted Trey to want a baby. Bekah was born the next July. Had she been a boy, we would have named him Reed. We miss Bo terribly!

3. What were you doing 1 year ago?
September 2006 ... I was adjusting to having our second child and I was recovering from my second C-section. We were trying to adjust Nate's formula because he had such bad reflux and I was trying to get some sleep!! I also remember it was around this time last year when I started this blog! What did we do before the blog??

4. What did you do yesterday?
I got up at 5 a.m. and ran almost 4 miles, went to the gym and lifted weights, took the kids to daycare, went to work, went to a Public Relations Association meeting at Steam Room Grill, worked some more, came home, had dinner, watched some TV and went to bed.. pretty exciting, uh?

5. Snacks I enjoy
ANYTHING CHOCOLATE!! Cafe Au Lait with 2 splendas and skim milk from Seattle Drip and Ice cream! When I'm being healthy, I like yogos, 100 calorie packs, baked lays, strawberries, grapes, cheese and yogurt.

6. Things I would do with $100 million dollars
Well, Trey would make me invest.. but not before I would quit my job and open my own photography studio. We would travel, definitely pay off all of our debt, we would give to our favorite charities (yes, we would), and we would buy a NEW HOUSE!!

7. Locations I would run to
DEFINITELY the beach.. also Disneyworld, and skiing in the mountains!!

8. Bad habits I have
WATCHING WAY TOO MUCH TV, surfing the net constantly and updating the blog, and PROCRASTINATION!! Also, worrying about the little things too much.

9. Things I like to do
I love being with my family, watching the kids discover new things, going out to eat, hanging out with my friends, watching TV and movies, going to the beach with the Milans, grilling out, running, participating in cool events like marathons, triathlons, just setting a goal and conquering it!!

10. Biggest joy of the moment
Watching Bekah turn into a little girl. I can't believe my baby is 4 years old.. so sassy and funny as ever. Watching Nate learn new things every day and melt my heart every time he smiles! AND training for the Chicago marathon and raising more than $5,700 for an AWESOME cause .. just one more week!!

Ok so it is my turn to tag, Story and Laura (and Courtney - if u had a blog), YOU ARE IT!!!
Renee was already tagged by Lisa!! So come on Renee - get busy!

Monday night did not disappoint!

Okay...
I have to tell you that last night at 10 til 7 p.m., my cable went out... I was horrified but I remained very calm. You would have been so proud of me. I took some deep breaths, called Courtney, and thought "Half full." I called Comcast and while I was waiting to speak with someone to tell them, "How dare the cable go out on premier week," the cable came back on at 7:05 p.m. Luckily I only missed about 3-5 minutes of "Chuck." Which, despite the name (had a horrible boyfriend named Chuck in college - yuck!), was great. I really liked it.
I was not disappointed at any of the NBC shows. I was a little skeptical of "Chuck," but the show was really very cute.

Heroes was AWESOME!! TRIPLE LOVED IT! Big fan of Heroes.. if you like Lost, you will love Heroes.

I also really liked Journey Man. It kept my attention from the start which is hard to do (self diagnosed - Attention Deficit Disorder)

These shows will all be added to my long list of television shows.

As for the CBS shows.. have not watched them. Did anybody? Is it worth going back and viewing? I believe they will be good shows to watch when these are repeats.

Tuesday

NBC pics
7p.m. - Biggest Loser
( I always like watching the end when they show the person who got kicked off. I love to see how much weight they have lost - very inspirational. It's worth taping just to see that.)
9 p.m. - Law and Order SVU
(probably not going to tape it b/c you can always catch the reruns on cable)

ABC pics
7p.m. - Dancing with the Stars (will tune in tonite)
9 p.m.- Boston Legal (So excited about this premier)

FOX pics
8 p.m.- House (Courtney's favorite)

What I'll be watching...

Okay so most of you know that I'm a TV addict and this week (PREMIER WEEK) is one of the weeks I anticipate all year long!! So at the request of Courtney, I'll be letting you know what I'll be watching and/or TIVOing this week. THANK GOD FOR TIVO!! I just didn't have a life before that invention.. so sad.

Tonight I'll be watching the NBC shows and taping the CBS shows. It was a toss up just b/c I am kind of a fan of Dancing with the Stars but I can catch up when they have a recap.
The NBC shows definitely look best to me tonight.

NBC
7 p.m. - Chuck
8 p.m. - Heroes (BIG FAN!! SO EXCITED)
9 p.m. - Journeyman

CBS
7p.m. - How I Met Your Mother
7:30p.m. -Big Bang Theory
8p.m. - Two and a Half Men
8:30p.m. - Rules of Engagement
9p.m. -CSI Miami
(not a big CSI Miami Fan b/c David Caruso gets on my nerves - but apparently rumor has it that he is supposed to have a long lost son come on to the show - who the baby's momma ? I don't know.)

So that's what we have for Monday night.

I know what you are thinking.. why not the Bachelor? I just haven't liked it since the Firestone guy. It's the same old thing every year.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's post.. I'll let you know what I thought about the Monday shows and what I decide to watch on Tuesday night. And if you don't really care what I think then why in this world are you reading this post?? HAHA!

Anyway, these posts will give you a glimpse of how sick I really am when it comes to TV!

Rainy afternoon

We went over to Court's house on a rainy Sunday afternoon! Look how big all the babies are getting! And look at Liv "borrowing" Nate's paci!!

The wig

Okay.. the wig. Someone gave Stu this wig for his birthday. But there was no tag so we didn't know who it came from. When we came over to Court's house the next day - the wig was on the floor. Miriam actually called it an octopus and Bekah was really frightened of the wig.. It kind of looks scarey, uh??

HAPPY 50th STU!!

STUART turned 50 last week and Courtney threw him a BIG BIRTHDAY BASH Saturday nite!! We all got babysitters and headed on to the Milans for some AWESOME FOOD!! We really had a great time. There were several things to mention but the best was the wig - it will have its on post. But what Mary Helen did took the cake. She went to Sunnybrook Estates and got a brochure for Stu!! Sunnybrook is a retirement home in Madison. The only problem when Mary Helen stopped by there, they insisted she get a tour! SO she stayed there for an hour to tour the place. Hilarious! Anthony who is in the photo with Courtney did the flowers = aren't they beautiful?? Also, check out Stu's shirt.. u got to read carefully! And the cake.. you know how Courtney loves to get cakes. She got one made with Stu's baby photo! So cute!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY STU!!

Grilling out!

Friday nite we thought we would stay in for the nite and grill out. It was such a nice nite and the kids really enjoyed the weather. Trey grilled some steaks and we all ate outside. Nate has adjusted to his cast, but we are very excited we are removing it today. Bekah decided she could juggle and Sadie decided she would sit at the table with us!!

Nate's cast!

Poor sweet Nate. Nate is such a good baby that when he is fussy or crying we know something is definitely wrong. So for the past couple of days, he was really fussy and crying and NOTHING would comfort him - not even his momma holding him. I just didn't know what was wrong. I really thought it was another ear infection. So we went to the doctor yesterday and he really couldn't find anything wrong with him - he said he probably has a little viral infection. So we went home and then I noticed he was not moving his left arm and everytime I touched his arm, he would cry even harder. So I ran him back to the doctor and he thought it was probably Nurse Maid's elbow (elbow out of place). He sent me to a pediatric orthopedist and he took an xray. No bones were broken but he said that this probably happened a couple of days ago and it has swollen so there would be no way for him to pop it back into place - the best thing to do was to let him wear a cast for about a week. Needless to say I was a wreck. I had to get reinforcement from Courtney, Renee and my mom that I was not a HORRIBLE mom. Then I remembered the same thing happened to Bekah when she was at her old daycare - she was probably a little over a year old. We immediately took her to the doctor and he was able to pop it back into place. What is up with my kids' joints? We don't know when this happened to Nate - but we think it must have happened over the weekend - I have no clue. Anyway, Nate is feeling MUCH better and Bekah is being a very caring Big Sister. He was smiling and laughing when I was holding him last night. The only problem is that he is not walking yet so this cast is getting in his way of crawling and you know how fast he can crawl! He is now upset b/c he can't seem to get anywhere. But I would much rather him be crying b/c he is frustrated rather than b/c he is in PAIN! He is back at school today and getting ALL the attention! If you see him within the week, make sure you sign that cast and give him lots and lots of hugs and kisses! And for my concerned family member - this is not the result of Auburn losing to MSU. Haha!

I want to be a sheep!

Sunday morning the class was all girls. They were practicing for big church when I took these photos. Everyone was supposed to bring their favorite stuffed animal and they sang in front of the church, "I want to be a sheep." They did a great job!

Jana and Chad's

Saturday night, Jana and Chad had a little get together at their house. Yummy food!! We had a blast. Nate and Bekah had a great time with everybody. Carrie and Mike brought AK and they had fun playing together. AK LOVES Nate. She tried to kiss him all night long. It was so cute. And look and Bekah and AK all over Mike!! It was a lot of fun. Of course, you can see towards the end, I was getting a little tired. I hadn't had a nap all day and I had run 20 miles that morning!! I was surprised I could even function! Anyway, thanks Jana and Chad for having us all over!!
