Cate turned 5 yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really can't believe it! They combined her birthday party with one of her friends and they had it in Galloway's gym. It was a Hannah Montana party! Each person brought a gift and all the gifts are going to be donated to the Children's Hospital. Isn't that awesome? Cate had a great time!!!!!!! The family is getting together Friday to have another celebration for Cate. Bekah and Nate had a great time. Although Nate wanted the basketball the whole time and the bigger kids didn't like that!! He got his turn though - Nate just hasn't quite learned to share yet! :)

Update
Mom's surgery is over. She was a great patient. They removed the tumor and the initial tests are saying that it hasn't spread! THANK THE LORD. They have to send it out for more tests. But so far, so good. Mom is at home resting. She is feeling okay but can't really talk. Thanks so much everybody for all of your prayers!!

Saturday night
We went to Logans with mom, Earl and Kelci Saturday nite. It was quite an experience - always crazy when we go out. I won't go into any details - but let's just say I laughed so hard at one point water came flying out of my mouth. I won't say anything else. It was very good to get out and laugh- we all needed one! And notice Trey and Kelci's hands - they are making fun of my new pose!!!!!!!!!!

PRAYER REQUEST
A couple of months ago, mom noticed something on her tongue. The dentist and the oral surgeon didn't think anything was wrong. But it kept annoying her. So she went to her ENT doctor to find out what in the world it was. Her doctor didn't think anything was wrong but just in case decided to do a biopsy. Thank goodness she did. Yesterday, they called my mom and told her the bump on her tongue was oral squamous cell carcinoma (tongue cancer). This is crazy because oral squamous cell carcinoma affects about 30,000 Americans each year. Ninety percent are smokers and alcohol is also a risk factor. If you know my mom, you know she does not even come close to either category. As a matter of fact - she really is the healthiest person I know. The doctor was shocked. Anyway, the good news is they caught it in the very earliest stage (T1) Treatment is with surgery. So Tuesday, they will remove the tumor. Hopefully that will knock it out. The other part of this is that Mom got a head and neck CT scan today to see if the carcinoma of the tongue was localized ( no lymph node involvement). The good news is that there was a very small lymph node that looked suspect. She will go back in six weeks to see if it has grown. If any growth has occurred, the doctor will have to do surgery and take out all her lymph nodes. The doctor was positive and mom is doing good.
Please pray, pray, pray!!! Sending out this prayer request! Please pray that they get all the cancer out Tuesday! Thanks so much!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUDSON!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUDSON! Hudson's birthday party was Monday. It was a lot of fun! I can't believe Hudson is 5! WHERE DOES THE TIME GO???? I just can't believe how big our kids are getting. Bekah enjoyed seeing all of her old buddies again. We hadn't seen them in a while. She had a great time. Tons of kids came to celebrate Huddy's bday.
Look at my Nate - he was loving the big wheel - maybe we should get him one. We were laughing at how relaxed we can get with the second child. I was just letting him walk around Story's house - keeping a watch out of the corner of my eye. And somebody said, "You can tell he's a second child." I was like, "Yep, Nate can hold his own. He's got a sister he tries to keep up with all the time." I can't imagine what having a third child would be like - and we won't be finding out either!! HAHAHA! A great time was had by all!! Great party Story! WOOHOO!
