TAL FINISHES but has an injury

Tal ran the race in a great time but he had an injury. His poor bloody nipple - ouch!

Renee came back with 2 beers and we started laughing because she said - "The line was long." Then Trey walks up with four bags of chips and we started dying out laughing - the line was long. GOOD TIMES .. I guess with the video - we can't hide the fact that we are the biggest dorks ever, uh Renee?? HAHA!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHAD!

Isn't Jana the sweetest?? She planned a surprise bday party for Chad!! It was so fun. We have not gotten together with these great folks in a long time - so it was so nice to see everybody. Amanda and Kevin Camp had us over to their house for a little barbecue!! YUMMY. Amanda also doubles not only as our friend but our vet too. She has the cats that are hairless!! The cats were the talk of the night. Look at Mr. Evil -Niles! HAHA! And nice pose Leslie!! She has learned the pose from me!! Thanks Jana and Amanda for planning this lovely event!! WE HAD A BLAST and it was so good seeing everybody. We got to learn all about Carrie's new program she is on... She gets up at 4:30 a.m. M-T and goes to Paul Lacoste's work out at the Courthouse.. WOW! GOOD TIMES!! GOOD TIMES!!

TAL FINISHED!!

Tal finished the whole marathon in 4 hours and 17 minutes! Unbelievable.. way to go Tal.. but he suffered an injury - his nipple was bleeding after the race! OUCH... We were very proud of him! And he said he had an off day - hey, that's an incredible time for an off day!! CONGRATS TAL ON YOUR FIRST MARATHON!!

Time to PARTY!!

We finished the half marathon and were ready to PARTY! I was so happy that I decided to do the half marathon (thanks Courtney - her idea). Here are some fun shots we took after we were finished and so HAPPY to not still be running (like Tal - ugh)

Steve finished!

Steve finished his first half marathon in 2 hours and 30 minutes! Way to go Steve!!

GO RENEE!!

I usually run alone in races. Right before the race started - I spotted Renee and Tal (he did the full marathon) I screamed, "RENEE!!" We started the race together. I wasn't really expecting us to race together - I didn't know if we would be able to keep up with each other. But we ended up running the entire race together and it was FABULOUS. We had so much fun running together. It really made the time go by so much faster. We ran an average of a 9.24 minute pace which was pretty incredible for the both of us. We encouraged each other the entire way and it was AWESOME. I started singing, "We're bringing sexy back" at mile 12 - I think that really helped us get thru that last mile -- HAHA... I could see it in Renee's eyes - Shut it. It was really so much fun running with Renee. And if you can believe it - we really didn't talk the whole way! We came in at the finish line holding our hands up together!! I love you Renee!!!!!!!!!!! YOU DID AWESOME. This was her first half marathon and I am so proud of her!!!!!!!! We finished 13.1 miles in 2 hours and five minutes!!

During the race

Trey didn't get many photos during the race but he took video so I'll post that in just a few minutes. This is Natalie and Jen with Team in Training... I loved it when we saw them!! They were our cheerleaders. I proudly wore my purple shirt during the race.

The morning of the race...

Steve picked us up bright and early Sunday morning - 6 a.m.

This was Steve's first half marathon. As you can tell by the look on Trey's face - he was still asleep.

Late night!

I put my hand on my chest for one photo... HAHA!! I thought that was funny. I know - I'm a dork. Anyway, it was 9:45 p.m. and I get a text from Renee that says she is going to bed. This is the nite before the race. I couldn't believe she could sleep. I sure couldn't - I get so nervous the night before. So what do we do? We go to Cafe Du Monde - YUMMY! I still got enough sleep though!!

We walked around Saturday.. again it is such a great place to people watch! It was FUN FUN FUN!

TREY is a trooper

I know he was so sick of me taking photos of him. I just couldn't help it. I thought it was so funny. I must say that Trey was a sport this weekend. He put up with all my craziness.. but I guess he does that all the time ... He had fun though!!

Jazz march

We were walking and we saw this big crowd of people and the streets were blocked off and we thought it was a parade because there were people filming and taking photos. But it was a jazz funeral march. I had never seen one of these first hand. It was pretty incredible.
