First - the reason we are wearing name tags is because we were meeting Susie's family for the first time. Now we get to Big Dad and Susie's house and the lights are off. That was at 3 p.m. There was no bad weather - they have underground cables - so we thought that it would be up in a matter of minutes - no worries. An hour later and no electricity and people were to be arriving at any minute! Because Susan (Trey's aunt) lives around the corner -they took the turkey over there and luckily they had most everything ready. John (Trey's uncle) ended up bringing over a generator. It made for a very interesting evening! It was so fun seeing all of Trey's aunts, uncles and cousins! It was nice to meet Susie's family too. Trey entertained us singing "Born in the USA!" He was hilarious. And since there was no form of entertainment - Bekah and Nate stepped up to the plate!! They put on a great show! The food ended up being great and it was a lot of fun - certainly a Thanksgiving to remember for a long time! Only sad part - JJ and Becca weren't there!! We missed them so much! Oh well, only a few more weeks til Christmas!
