Petunias

Saturday morning we were looking for a place to eat breakfast. So the hotel recommended Petunias. Let me just say - I did not stay on my diet this weekend. It was so YUMMY... and a very cool place. Long wait - but really worth it. Plus it was fun to see the waiter - who was rude to Trey. I loved every minute of it! He was hilarious.

Hotel St. Marie

We stayed at the Hotel St Marie in New Orleans. It was really nice! But it might have been a little too close to Bourbon. I could hear the music all nite. I don't recommend you stay there with small children. It really isn't kid friendly but is there any place near Bourbon that is??? haha

Mom and Earl kept the kids - thank goodness!!!

NEW ORLEANS

Let me first say that we had a BLAST in New Orleans this weekend. I signed up to run the Mardi Gras half marathon which was on Sunday. We decided we would go kidless so we left Bekah and Nate with mom and Earl. Trey and I took off on Friday and got to New Orleans around 4 p.m. We first went to the expo and picked up my packet for the half marathon, checked in to our hotel and got ready for dinner. We met up with Steve and ate at the Bourbon House. It was delicious. Then we walked around and watched all the crazy people. Let me tell me you that New Orleans is the best place to people watch!! I loved it. The only thing - I didn't take any photos. This is it.

EASTER PHOTOS!

I will be taking Easter photos on March 2 beginning at 2 p.m.; March 8 at 2 p.m.; and March 9 at 2 p.m. I've decided to take them at the old Crafts Center in Ridgeland just off the
Natchez Trace. I have been encouraged to do a sign up sheet... so far I have
many who are interested so I might add another day into the mix. But for now, I'm going to keep it at these dates. Please let me know what time you'd like to come. I'll be doing them in 20 minute time slots. So if you have a certain time you want to come, let me know. I'll probably be there for 3 hours at a time depending on the weather.
I am still working on getting a bunny but if not, I will have some props to
make it look like Easter - such as an Easter basket, Easter eggs, flowers, etc.
I'll be sure to make it very spring like.

I am so excited about this.
This is the deal: You will make a donation of $25 or more (write your check
out to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society) and you will get 10 photos on a CD. I
will not do prints because it is just not cost effective for this
fund-raiser. Let me the date/time you would like to come. I will send out
another e-mail but if you know anyone with a bunny that we can use, please
let me know!

Sunday at the Milans

Another fun Sunday at the Milans.. Bekah always goes straight to the dress up clothes! I could not get a good photo of Miriam and Bekah both looking at the camera... Look at Juicy???? She is adorable. And then there is Nate - who by the way was in a horrible mood this weekend b/c he is getting those last teeth in.. poor baby.

My birthday week continues...

My birthday continued all week!! Friday nite momma had the family over for a birthday dinner. It was a lot of FUN!!! Cate and Bekah just love to be together - although at the end of the nite they were fighting over a stuffed animal. I think Cate had Bekah in a headlock - it was a definite wrestling match - too close to call who won!! HAHA! Mom surprised me with a special gift. She found my old girl scout sash and got it framed for me. I thought that was very sweet!! Thanks mom!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

We totally STOLE this idea from my brother and Kim!!!!!! When my brother and Kim told us they did this for Valentine's Day - we decided we would give it a try so a few years ago we stopped buying cards and flowers and candy for Valentine's Day. Instead we go to Barnes and Noble and buy each other a book. And of course, we buy the kids a book too! Nate and Bekah loved it! Bekah even met a friend and one of the employees read them a book. It was a great night! Happy Valentine's Day!!

The Paprazzi - Renee

So we were just sitting at Jason's Deli minding our own business and look who stops and takes all these photos of us!! RENEE!! It was so funny. She looked like the paprazzi!! It was quite hysterical. I was very very embarrased but it was funny as you can tell by the look on my face!! I took video of her so I'm going to post that in just a second!!

Happy Birthday MOMMA! This is the debut of my video blogging.. thanks to my NEW FLIP VIDEO!!!!!!!!!! It is SOOOOOOOO COOL!! Okay - Bekah is so my child!! HAHA!! And look how CUTE Nate is!! I'm sure the people in the restaurant were looking at us kind of strange but I really didn't CARE!! SO EXCITED!

For my birthday, Trey took the fam out to eat to my pick - Little Tokyo!! It was so YUMMY! Trey got me an FLIP VIDEO for my birthday this year! For those of you that don't know - it's a little bity video recorder. It's awesome.. and I must give props to Courtney for this idea. She called Trey the day after Christmas and told him to get me this for my birthday. IT IS SOOOOOOOOO COOL!! I think it was one of Oprah's favorite things!! I'm going to try to download some video to my blog!!

Also, I want to say a BIG thank you to all of my friends and family for making me feel so special for my birthday. I so appreciated everything from the Julep brunch to the birthday cards, the birthday texts and voice messages on my phone - everything! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! It really has been an AWESOME bday so far.. of course, my birthday lasts a week long so y'all can keep it coming with the birthday messages!! HAHA!! 34 is off to a great start!

BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!

I thought Saturday was pretty but Sunday was even better!!! B/c Courtney always has us over to her house... I said, "Come on over!!" We got out the castle, the bikes, the skates and played played played!! The kids really enjoyed themselves and we enjoyed the SUN!!

I HAD NO IDEA!

This year I really wasn't excited about my birthday for some reason.. 34.. I don't know. So I told both Courtney and Renee - Y'all please don't do anything for me...

Well, they did! Courtney and Renee threw me a surprise birthday brunch on Sunday at Julep! Wasn't that the sweetest thing! I was in shock! It really was just so sweet. I can't even explain what that meant to me. Thanks so much to my sweet friends!! I just love y'all so much and I would totally decorate every one of your lockers!! HAHA!! It was so funny - I think we laughed the entire time. So even though I said I didn't want any thing - I still had a BLAST!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I felt like it was Christmas - I got so many gifts! Also, thank you Court for the BEAUTIFUL CAKE! For several years now - Courtney has gotten me a cake for my birthday!! They are always so pretty and festive and DELICIOUS! Again THANK YOU - I can't say it enough!!
